The contact owned a 2010 Volkswagen Gti. While driving approximately 45 mph, the front driver side tire blew out and forced the vehicle to veer to the left. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the retainer wall. The front driver side air bag deployed, but the seat belt failed to retract. A police report was not filed and no injuries were sustained. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.
