Bought this car new two months ago, and already been 3 times back to the dealer. The engine light comes on and the dealer reset the computer stating that is probably the gas cap not closed correctly. This is the 4th time it happened and last two times happened after 70 to 90 miles after filling the tank.

The car also under delivers in miles per gallon.

Jetta Hybrid SE 1.5L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission

VW knows the software indicates the wrong oxygen sensor needs to be replaced, there are two in the car and the software indicates the wrong sensor.

Dealer reads the check engine code and replaces the wrong sensor, drove out of dealers lot and check engine light comes on a mile or two later. Took car back.

As it turns out VW knows about the software error, but has no service bulletin so the dealer does not know he is replacing the wrong part. The result is dealers consistently replace the wrong sensor and the car comes back in.

Got this 2013 Jetta Hybrid 3 weeks ago. after driving it 400 miles, engine light came on. Bring to the dealer to fix it. After 2 days, back to pick up the car. the problem is the heater oxygen sensor. heading home that afternoon, less than a mile driving, the engine light came on again. Suck. back to the dealer again, diagnose it and the service tech say, is the heater oxygen sensor again is the problem....wow..they think im happy at this given time....its a brand new car.
