I was at the beach with my family, when left I put everythin in the trunk. Tried closing it a few times, but the trunk wouldn't close. then realized that the latch was broken!!! couldn't believe it. I've never had a problem with a trunk latch broken!!! since the trunk is heavy & not easy to lift, i left it broken for few days. i visited my brother & he got a used latch from volkswagen dealer for $45 & replaced it himself. otherwise would've cost me a whole lot more to replace. my 2004 volkswagen passat has had many problems, with having to replaced all 4 coils, water pump & thermostat, front axle!!! i've put too much money into this car, so tired of it. needless to say... i'm never buying another volkswagen again, actually ii don't even want one if it's free, they can keep it!!!
