Called service department manage and advised him that I smelled coolant. Brought car in for service and sorry mechanics reported they couldn't smell it or see a leak. A month later wife had a major coolant blowout in my driveway while getting ready to leave for a 300 mile trip.
Service department said that 2014 Passat's had a problem with radiators. Replaced radiator under warranty.
