Chrysler Recalls Dodge Dart After Reports of Engines Stalling
Dodge Dart owners say cold weather can cause the engine to stall in middle of road.

— Chrysler is recalling about 12,900 model year 2013 Dodge Dart vehicles because of engine problems.  The affected vehicles are equipped with a 1.4L MultiAir turbo engine and dual dry clutch transmission.

According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the engine can stall when the temperature is 20 degrees or colder outside.

Chrysler tracked the problem to the powertrain control module, which dealers will reprogram during the recall.  That should begin in June, 2013.

If you have already had the problem repaired and can show proof of the expense, Chrysler will reimburse you the cost.

With questions, call Chrysler at 800-247-9753 and give them recall number N32.
