Land Rover Recalls Range Rovers For Backup Camera Issues
About 14,300 Range Rover and Range Rover Sports recalled after four property damage reports.

— Land Rover is recalling nearly 14,300 model year 2018 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs equipped with Continental backup cameras that may fail to display the rearview images.

Land Rover has received four property damage reports because the rearview camera screens went blank and drivers didn't check their surroundings.

Land Rover opened an investigation in February 2018 after reports of camera image problems, but engineers couldn't find any pattern to the failures.

Land Rover says it called in experts who eventually found a growing trend of warranty and property claim reports for 2018 Range Rovers.

The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport recall is expected to begin October 14, 2019, when dealerships will reprogram the infotainment system displays and camera software.

Owners may contact the automaker at 800-637-6837 and use Land Rover's recall number N367.
