CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Fusion builds off the 2010's reputation. That's not a good thing.

The first thing that jumps out is the ridiculous amount of power steering complaints. It grinds, it squeals, and it eventually just fails.

And if losing power steering isn’t enough for you, how about a sudden loss of engine power? That combination is enough to achieve clunker status.

I AM JUST DISGUSTED THAT I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH TWO SEPARATE ISUUES WITH MY AIR CONDITIONER ... FIRST THE MOTOR IN MARCH. $489 DOLLARS LATER NOW WE ARE LOOKING AT MELT DOWN AND NEEDING TO REPLACE THE HARNESS! YET ANOTHER $400 PLUS.. NOT A HAPPY FORD CUSTOMER. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY FORD.

I've had my 2011 Ford Fusion 2 years. Three days ago, the AC stopped blowing, a few seconds later a puff of smoke came out from under the glove box on the passenger side. I took it back to dealer this morning, they checked it out, said the harness connector just "melted" the blower fan motor is bad and the transistor. How the hell does that happen on a 4 year old car. Reading other reviews online I am beginning to see this is a common problem with Ford A/C's. This is pure hogwash!! FORD, you should be ashamed of yourself!! Sad thing is they want $1380 to "fix it". BS on that, I know a backyard monkey mechanic that can replace it all for a third of what they want. Totally unacceptable on a FORD.

If a/c module goes out. A/C and even fans goes out. Harness connector to module burnt. To spend $140 to replace and lasted only 9 months it is either a design flaw (deliberately under engineered) for service return value or this is really a FORD Money MAKER Idea.
