CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Fusion builds off the 2010's reputation. That's not a good thing.

The first thing that jumps out is the ridiculous amount of power steering complaints. It grinds, it squeals, and it eventually just fails.

And if losing power steering isn’t enough for you, how about a sudden loss of engine power? That combination is enough to achieve clunker status.

At 138825 miles, the engine began to have a misfire on cylinder #4, which was initially a vacuum hose leak. Then, the car starts having an "earthquake" whenever the car is stopped at a red light. The cause would then be an egr malfunction. As time went by, the misfire on cylinder 4 shows up again. Took my car to the shop to have the issue looked at, found to be a cross threaded spark plug, and they recommended the cylinder head be replaced, the engine assembly replaced, the coolant being replaced, and the ac being recharged. Repair would've cost $10,500.
