As the weather had not been too cold before Christmas, it was not until we left for family Christmas visit in a cold spell that we realized that there was no heat in the car. The only way to get heat was to have the car on AC and that has killed my fuel efficiency. Now, I am finding out that there could be a big potential problem with the transmission that is causing this and it could lead to major bucks to fix - NOT FUN!
