Have a 2006 Pathfinder and I was on my way to work and on the highway. About 20 miles into driving, the car jerked and then the check engine light VDC/Slip light came on.. The car proceeded like nothing else was wrong until I stopped at a traffic light off the exit ramp and then the car shut off.. After about 5 minutes it finally started back up and I made the 4 mile trip to work.. I shut the car off and tried to restart it and it wouldn't start so I went on into work and worked my 12 hour shift worried about my car not starting after work. But it did start and the check engine light stayed on but the VDC/Slip light was off so halfway, 10 miles into my trip home the car jerked and the VDC/Slip light came on again but this time after stopping the car didn't shut off.. Did the computer check and I need bank 1and 2 cat converter and basically the other code says to replace the thermostat.. I am a single dad of 2 kids and don't have a lot of money so I was wondering if there is a quick fix to this or should I be worried?

I really see why we are losing in a dying Country, what the hell happen to born in the USA.... Right now after all the things going on in our world it's bad enough we have corporate thieves lurking among us. They sell you a dream of the materials we seek to have and need once we get the product or merchandise they claim they stand behind the product to the end, it's nothing but a dream... I have been sold out with Nissan I should have kept to the Cadillac like my Ole pops said Nissan is a piece of sh*t!!!!!

I have kept up my Nissan since I purchased it in 2008 brought it with 40,125 mi on it. Now that I have reached 7 years I guess this may be the end I was having issues with the smell of the Catalytic Converter repaired that a month ago and now on Mothers Day the darn vehicle started hesitating at each stop I made then would pick up speed did that for about thirty minutes. I'm en route to celebrate Mothers Day with my mother and get in her driveway the chuck of metal stopped wouldn't go anymore.

I am 200 miles away from home today, the chunk of metal still barley goes forward. No sound of whining noise. It backs up, engine sounds strong. I call my mechanic (30 yrs) working in this field who did the catalytic, explained to him the issue. He tells me maybe there might be water in the gasoline, which I did fill up prior to my trip. I am at a stand still and just so disgusted that I was never notified in a timely manner about the issues of this vehicle. After having certain services at the dealer, they have my information of maintenance. After contacting the Corporate office, they tell me crap that "oh we sent out information to the owners" in which I was lucky to get notice of the gas tank meter level reader and nothing else about the transmission and radiator.

This is a slap in the face then they have the nerve to have these inconsiderate sales agents to call you about an extended warranty and ask if you took care of the problem!!!!! This is Legal Robbery and violation from the corporate world .
