Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: The 2005-2007 Pathfinder appears to have a widespread defect where coolant leaks into the transmission, causing transmission failure around 90,000 miles. Repair costs are typically upwards of $3,500.

According to the New York Times & a class action lawsuit, the defect actually extends through 2010 model year. More info here.

Pathfinder 6-cyl

First the fuel sensor went out. Once I got that fixed (640.00) the fuel tank wouldn't fill up and the gauges were off. Then fluid leaked into the radiator and I had to replace the radiator (1,000.00). Then I had to flush it twice. Then the car overheated because the thermostat was gone. $250. Now the car won't start and I'm being told it's the ignition gone bad. All of this has happen over three months. I will never buy another Nissan again. This was my third Nissan and last!!!!!!! where are the recalls if the same problems are occurring.
