Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2003 Nissan Xterra doesn't seem to have any problem trends. The only thing prospective owners should be aware of are the less-than-perfect (but acceptable) crash test ratings.

There are a very few transmission complaints, but nothing like the huge defect that shows up starting in with the 2005 model year.

Three of the power windows on the 2003 Nissan Xterra have ceased from functioning. The only window functioning was the front driver side window.

I own a 2003 Nissan Xterra and the windows on the front and back passenger side roll up at a snail's pace, if they roll up at all. I have had the car looked at and can get no answers.

I have a problem with the front windows of my Nissan Xterra, I bought the car two months ago and the front windows stopped working twice already. I was told by the service manager that there is a problem with the window regulators in the Xterras and that Nissan does not have a recall or even has a solution to this problem other than having to change the same part over and over. As we all know we buy new cars for their dependability not because we like the payments!
