It's very annoying every morning I have to leave out almost 30 min out of my time to go to work. I only have to drive 12 miles out. After driving my car for about 15 min it starts to shake or if I'm coming to a red light it will cut off, then I have to wait almost 20 to 30 min before it will start back up.
We have partnered with JustAnswer to offer online auto repair help and advice from expert professional automotive technicians. Grand Am SE 2.3L
i have a 1993 pontiac grand am se 2.3 quad 4, last winter it started stalling while driving & often wouldn't restart for several. then once it would turn back over i was only able to drive it again for 12-20 minutes before it would do it again and eventually it just didn't want to turn over period. initially i thought it was the ignition modular ( similar symptoms when its bad) but changed that and still wouldn't start, checked a few other possibilities with no luck and was clueless. it sat parked all winter long before having it looked at again and turns out that it was the crank shaft positioning sensor (cost is under $30 for the part). this was over looked due to it not clearly being visible and in a hard to reach spot.
car ran just fine after replacing it unfortunately it sat all winter when all it took was a $24 part. so if your having the same issue you might want to try that!!
