While driving steering wheel can be moved up and down. My husband's Grand Am VIN# [xxx] has the same exact problem. He took his car into the dealership and was quoted a price of $275 to fix the problem. I believe this is not a coincidence and there is a real problem with the tilt adjustor breaking.
