Okay. I started the car (cold) drove about1/4 mile and it acted like someone knocked it into neutral but it was still in drive. I shut the car off and restarted it and it went into gear. I drove for another 100 yards or so and and it did the same thing. I managed to get back home. Any Ideas? The night before on the way home from work it acted up. It acted like someone applied the brakes hard but not locking them up, then it would release I'd drive a little bit and it would do it again. This went on for awhile and then it stopped and I had no further problems. Please help!
