I bought my Grand Am, used, in May of '03. Even at that time, the right front fog light did not work, we figured it was a bulb and the dealership agreed to replace the bulb. Fast forward, life got hectic, I never got it in (thinking it was a bulb.).A few months later, I bought the appropriate bulb myself for my father to put in. And what did he find? THE FLIPPIN' LIGHT WASN'T EVEN HOOKED UP. The light was in its space, but the wires went to no where. There is no indication of when or why the light was disconnected, but it is rather annoying as I can not use my fog lights for fear of a short or spark. Next, the headlights have filled with water and are a nasty opaque color that I cannot seem to change, they are not clear.
Also, one particular bulb in the brake lights goes out every single year, I have been told it is a bad fuse and that it is a very common problem in Grand Ams. It is annoying as it has caused my car to fail inspection several years now (and it is out again, so I have to replace it or fail again.)

One of the rear fog lights is always dark & full of water. I've had the rear end of the car replaced twice due to being rear-ended & still one of the lights fill with water. I've seen other Grand Ams around with the same problem.

Lights constantly burn out quicker than they should. Have had to replace tail lights, head lights, turn signals frequently. In addition, the blinkers go out on occasion and have to hit the hazards to get the blinkers to work properly. This is really safe.
