problem #1

2007Mar 30

(reported on)

Grand Am GT 1 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 145,000 miles

My drivers window popped and wouldn't move up or down. And of course it was cold and I had pnuemonia and was on my way to work to fill out for a leave of absense. When the crappy plastic broke the cable that runs the window snapped and recoiled all around the motor. (who in their "right" mind uses plastic to hold a heavy window that will be moving up and down and being jarred around daily?) I had to replace the whole unit due to this. After this got fixed and they put it all back to together one of the back windows snapped. So they had to replace it also. And the driver's window has broken twice since then again within 2 months of being replaced. I think Pontiac should have to eat the expense on this.
