My three year old son can pull the seat belt from his body while he is sitting in his booster seat. The seat belt will not lock and thus there is no way to keep him in the seat if he wants to get out. Our van and other cars have locking seat belts which make it impossible for him to pull the belt away from his body. We have used other car seats with a harness but he is getting too big to use that type of seat any more.
