ARE YOU KIDDING ME! this has happened to 3 of my windows as well. driver side front and both back windows, yesterday when it was pouring down rain basically sideways my window which I have had to rig to stay up with tape still came down which allowed powerful wind and rain to start pouring into my car as I tried to pull over to push it back up another one fell, LOL. my car was soaking I was soaking and I could have easily gotten into a wreck because of it, not a safety issue my ass! a different time my girlfriend had to undo her seat belt and crawl from the front seat into the back to hold a window up during a rain storm, what the hell gives GM? I would love to get this fixed but not only can I not afford it but i have seen the plastic piece in my window and it has pieces broken off in 7 different places. This is insane! GM is raping the American people, no wonder people by foreign cars, I have always been a Pontiac man but i may be looking into a Honda or something soon!

Also did not take to dealer. This already happened once before while under warranty, and they "fixed" it. The garage showed me how they "fixed" it. The window itself at the bottom was a mess and had to get a new window. I got manual windows in the begin with because I didn't want any significant expense to fix problems with electrics. I am now told it is almost better just to buy a new door!

I just got this POS car in may of 2007 and it's been nothing but a pain in my ass. So far I've had the engine light come on and off when it feels like it, the temp runs really hot and it starts to smell like anti-freeze, it doesn't want to start sometimes or hesitates. After about 3 weeks from getting it the battery went dead and it would not start, i had the battery checked and they sadi it was fine that I didn't need another one. Then today I find out I already need new breaks and had to but two new damn tires because they had nails in them and couldn't be fixed, ohh on one of them had "lumps" bad tread wear i guess. It cost me too damn much for 2 tires. But my biggest F*king problem i have with this car is it drives like sht in the snow and rain. Im talking BAD...... The semi trucks drive better and pass me up in the snow. It's the WORST CAR ive ever had and Im paying way toooooo much for this POS. Do not ever get a grand am unless you have a pocket to burn a hole it because it will soak you for money....

My electric window on the driver's side front will not go down. It's awful to deal with. You can't go anywhere & have to talk to someone through it. It just ill's me the problems that I am starting to have with this vehicle... no matter how little they are, it seems like there's always something else going wrong with my car.
