Two weeks ago the fuse blew for the cigarette lighter. I replaced it and yesterday I used the lighter to an air compressor to blow up a tire. The compressor shut off and there was smoke streaming from under the hood! The wires burnt from the back of the cigarette lighter almost to the fuse box.

To add to it, now the car won't start. The dash lights were very dim and flickering. No noise, turn over, nothing!
