Grand Prix GT 3.8L

I just bought this car and replaced the ignition switch to fix a blower problem and now this. So now i have to leave the switch just a bit forward so the battery doesn't die over night. I think it may be something with the key ass. Any idea's.Oh yeah does anybody think i should look in to this fire issue.
