While driving with my daughter and attempting to change lanes on highway, the front passenger tire popped and car began sliding. As I turned steering wheel to avoid hitting concrete barrier car continued sliding and spinning uncontrollably from the far right lane across other two or three lanes into median ditch, bouncing out onto service road, still spinning until it hit something and spun around finally slowing, which is when I applied brakes to stop car. We were literally in middle of service road. I saw that car had hit curb. I put on flashers, and after taking a moment to gather myself I got out to look at car. The rim was exposed and literally on the ground with tire partially on top. When it was safe I moved car to curb side of road and called for roadside service. I then slowly drove car about 50 feet to enter a shopping plaza where I waited for service representative. The spinning and bouncing of the car left me shaken for sometime, still not totally settled, with bruises; stiff neck; and aggravated already strained hip, leg, and back. My daughter has not given any injuries beyond emotional distress.

We bought a new 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix in April 2003 with Goodyear rsa's that came on it. In September of 2004 noticed front end noise and rough ride. Took it to dealership to get it checked out. They rotated and balanced tires, checked everything out and still noise was there. I was advised to get the tires checked out, that may be the problem. Went to sears and right off the bat they found that one of the tires had a factory defect. Knowing that buying just one tire would not be the right thing to do (others with only 1/2 tread), had to buy 4 new tires. Sears did give me some credit for the defective tire, (but not enough to cover price the new one) but because of the defective one had to purchase 4 new tires and needless to say did not purchase Goodyear. Sears did say that tires.

The windshield wipers worked intermittently. This occurred during a rain storm. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer on 3 occasions and the problem was resolved temporarily. The wiper would not go far enough towards the A-pillar. The dealer readjusted the left wiper arm. The vehicle engine stalled. While driving 40 mph and above the vehicle would vibrate. The technician determined that the driver's side front tire was out of balance and the passenger's side front wheel was out of round.. the cd player stopped working while it was playing. The turn signal switch broke off the steering column.
