The contact owns a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact mentioned that the reduced engine, stability and traction control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that water penetrated inside the instrument panel, causing the electrical system to fail. The technician sealed the area but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the water damage caused the accelerator pedal to fail and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 107,000 and the current mileage was 111,800.
