Yesterday morning I got in started my 08 grand prix after letting it get warmed up I put it in reverse to get out of my driveway. When I put it back in drive and started to accelerate, as soon as I start rolling it slips out of gear before it even switched gears. With the gas pedal all the way engaged my car does not move unless I manually put it in 1st,2nd or 3rd gear. Even then it was a miracle I limped it home.

When it does this it sounds like a vacuum cleaner with the throttle wide open.
