So I purchased a new 2019 MDX. I push the button to open the rear hatch and it sounds like crap. There's a loud noise like gears are grinding. Take it into dealer. They hear it and order parts, and replace parts. No more noise, and a few weeks later the noise returns. They claim they can't hear any but that a sensor failed and they will replace it.
I got the car back and the noise is twice as loud as before. I am told they tested other vehicles on the lot and works as designed. You are telling me the MDX is the flagship of your SUV lineup and the rear hatch open with a ton of noise is as designed? I would be embarrassed if I designed it to work that way.
