I've been to Audi of Baton Rouge several times about this problem. Car works like an old v8, you have to pump the gas to get it to start. It ends up revving the engine to high RPM upon starting which is known to damage the turbos because the oil drains due to gravity. I finally paid for 24 hours on erwinonline and found a TSB 2011732, that covers this very issue very clearly. Also, this TSB as well as many others mention the engine will be reporting a rich condition.
There are many more TSBs like this that talk of these rich conditions and poor fuel mileage. Most of the s-models as well as the larger suvs are showing TSBs that show an update to SVM code 01A225, probably to lean them out. Is this another coverup from Audi regarding improper tuning in their engines? Owners should get together on this and at least force Audi to cover the cost of reflashing the ECUs. The TSB for my vehicle was issued in January of 2019. Only just after the warranty ended.
