I've owned a 2000 and 2007 BMW 3 series and a 2010 X6 all with airbag recalls but I don't own any of these vehicles anymore. As a matter of fact I hit a curb and my drivers airbag broke my facial bones with just hitting a curb and was totaled out. Would I qualify for compensation through this large recall" and what info would I need"

Takata recall. I was issued notice of an air bag recall for my vehicle (campaign no. 16V-071) in March 2016. One year has passed, and I have not received any further notice regarding availability of parts to repair my vehicle. I spoke with my local dealer, seattle BMW, on 03/28/17, and was advised that they do not have parts for final remedy on the vehicle. Per the notice, I am notifying the NHTSA administrator that the remedy has not been made available within a reasonable period of time.
Seat occupancy sensor on passenger seat has failed. Shows as "airbag light" on dash. BMW already recalled some vehicles for this, and gave a 15-year extended warranty for cars including my model and model year, but refuse to honor the warranty for my particular vehicle because it has sports seats instead of standard seats. Lookup on BMW parts numbers show that the seat occupancy sensor has the same part number on sports and non-sports seats. No remedy from BMW, including contact to BMW usa (have record of emails, including an offer for a phone call I never received).

Takata recall: BMW has failed to replace defective driver's side airbag. It has been almost 1 year since we received the recall notice. This is our primary car and it is dangerous for us to be driving it.
Many months ago a recall was issued for 2007 BMW 3281I cars. Nothing happened. This spring (2016) I contacted the dealer, who said it had heard nothing from BMW. Is NHTSA monitoring BMW" if not, why not" it's not beyond the realm for both parties to hope that the issue will be forgotten about and it will go away. My dealer is BMW of fairfax, Virginia. Both dealer and distributor need to be told to move forward with the recall.
I was told by BMW cincinnati North my air bag was replaced over 30 days ago. Your database shows it was not. Another BMW dealer recently told me that my air bag was not replaced. BMW North America has not responded to requests for clarification. They simply stated, NHTSA records may not be updated yet.
