The contact owns a 2011 BMW 750XI. The contact stated that the transmission malfunction warning message was displayed, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, smoke was coming from the exhaust pipe. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with a faulty oil pan and valve cover gasket. The oil pan and valve cover gasket were replaced; however, the failure recurred. Additionally, a fuel odor was detected, and the vehicle would shake while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.

When it happens vehicle was stationary. I take immediately car to the BMW service in naperville Illinois. They checked car, found some issues, it was ( timing chain, oil, antifreeze leaking I was in BMW dealerships, they check my car and gave me price about 8K $ for recall.

The N63 engine made by BMW generates too much heat which has caused mine as well as countless others to consume far too much oil over years of usage. The engine's heat has also caused nearly all gaskets and O-rings to become warped and leak oil as well. Currently, I put in over 1 quart of premium 5W30 oil every 8-10 days which is far too much. This engine needs to be looked into; I'm happy to participate in first-hand accounting of results of this failed engineering marvel.

Engine is burning and leaking oil excessively. N63 engine requires 2-quarts of premium oil every month, or approximately 1200-1400 miles driven. Area BMW repair shops recommend replacement of engine which has 118,000 miles.

Despite BMW 'soft recall' customer care package, car burns 2 quarts of oil every 750-850 miles. BMW has done nothing to rectify this notorious problem with these N63 engines. Engines should be replaced.

BMW 2011 has only 88,000 miles and both high pressure fuel pumps need to be replaced at a cost of $1400. The car was in motion and said powertrain malfunction, the car slows down on the road which can cause an accident, starts jerking and spitting white smoke. This is a know problem under sib130215 which states only production dates between Jan 2011 and Dec 2011. My production date was Oct 2010. The same problem exists with many of the N63 engine cars. Please take a look at this problem as it seems to be a defect in the engineering of the vehicleand not necessarily the parts. This causes a serious problem when driving on the highway. Also, I had to get all my coils and spark plugs changed as well which was not covered in my warranty. This is also a known problem for these cars. The customer pays too much for these cars to have a totally defective vehicle.

BMW 750 I xdrive 2011 --excessive engine oil consumption and or burning. The design of the valve stem seals is a major safety problem due to excessive oil consumption. The safety concerns are the following: 1) fire hazard. 2) property damage and personal injury 3) polluting the environment with excessive smoke 4) additional cost burden for consumers every time the vehicle is stationary and at the point of acceleration, the is a tremendous amount of smoke that is coming out of the tail pipe. The oil measure turn to low after just 2 weeks of adding oil to the engine. For the following reasons, BMW should be held accountable and be forced to repair the engineering design flaws in their engine that burn excessive amount of oil in a short amount of time. Consumer should not have to carry the cost burden of repairing this design flaws. As an owner, I am very disappointed in BMW

The contact owns a 2010 (na) BMW 750xi. While driving, the vehicle became extremely hot and there was an abnormal burning odor. Also, the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (BMW of minnetonka, 15802 wayzata blvd, wayzata, mn 55391) where it was determined that the repair fees would be the contact's responsibility. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 100,000.

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 750li. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle began to vibrate. In addition, the contact noticed fuel fumes coming through the air vents. The engine warning light illuminated as "drive train malfunction, drive at moderate speed" was displayed across the message board. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000.

About 6 months ago the car started sputtering when you accelerate. I found online that you can take your BMW 750li xdrive in for a customer care package ( they did not call it a recall but a customer care package.) I thought this would correct the problems because they replace some sensors and vacuum hose but the problem is still there. BMW did a full diagnostic and said (remove and replace all injectors (X8), ignition coils (X8),and spark plugs (X8) (during the inspection found the vehicle misfiring) final cost will run $6777 my warranty company will refuse to pay because they wanted to know what would you replace all 8 injectors and all of the other parts because all 8 injectors cant be bad. The warranty company think BMW know they have a faulted injection systems and trying to upgrade and correct the problem at the customer expense. The car burn major oil, BMW claim this is normal.
