"takata recall" the passenger air bags are not functioning it pop up on my cluster when I was starting up my vehicle from home. I recieved a recall letter from NHTSA when I took it to the BMW dealer it wasnt on the system so they couldnt replace my air bags for the passanger side

The contact owns a 2006 BMW 760li. While driving approximately 70 mph, the frontal passenger side air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact had to stop on the side of the road and restart the vehicle for the indicator to dim. Afterwards, the air bag light would illuminate every day. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2006 BMW 7 series. The contact stated that while parked, the air bag and seat belt warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician advised that the sensor mat in the front passenger's seat would have to be replaced. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 08V384000 (air bags:frontal) but was advised by the manufacturer that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 49,000.
