When it happens:

This problem seems to be related to the E-drive as it only presents itself while running in full EV mode and in cooler outside temperature, ie. below 20C and when the car is driven less than 2 kms after sitting for over 6 hours. This only happens when making a turn from a complete stop. The problem becomes more pronounced when outside temperature gets colder.

The problem will disappear in the warmer months (temp above 20C) or if gas engine is engaged.

The problem:

When accelerating from a 4-way stop and making a right or left turn, the car will initially move but will lose power after moving about 10 feet, literally in the middle of the intersection. The gas paddle will become un-responsive. The car will re-accelerate after about 2-3 secs. This will repeat itself the next time when making a stop or slow to a very low speed for the next 2 kms.
