- This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician with a diagnostic tip for avoiding turbo charger damage during under hood service work. Technician should use caution when performing under hood service to avoid damage to turbocharger components. Technician should be advised that turbochargers have been returned under warranty with damage to the waste gate Actuator Solenoid vacuum port fittings and Bypass Valve port fittings.
