The contact owns a 2007 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that the front passenger side door lock actuator failed, causing the door to remain locked at all times. Approximately one month later, the rear driver side door lock actuator also failed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the door actuators needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 170,000.
The contact owns a 2008 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that while parked, when trying to open the front drivers side door, the door handle became detached from the vehicle. The lock and the insides of the handle were still connected, but the door handle was separated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,729.
1.the door locks work intermittently with or without the key fob. The interior button as well as when put into drive or park does not always engage or unlock. I had it looked at and was informed it is the door lock actuators that are faulty and need to be replaced in all 4 doors. 2.the windshield washer fluid does not work at all. The washer motor does not run and needs to be replaced.
