On my way to work I noticed that when I stopped at a light it took longer to take off and when it did it made a hitting sound. When I parked I tried to go reverse to change parking spaces and it would not change into gear I accelerated and a delayed gear hitting sound again was very noticeable and the car sounded as if metal was shuffleling in the transmission. I turned off the car and went to work. When I got off work It turned on ok and drove off with slipping gears but not the hitting noice but I went off the road to answer a phone call and when I tried to drive off it wouldn't go into gear anywhere. I called AAA to haul it home. I had someone look at it and said transmission is gone to get a new transmission or do and overhaul. I bought this car from a private party I don't know if a manufacturer warranty would cover. Fluids were good in it I had just bought this vehicle about 7 months ago.

Having purchased this car a year ago, having these problems with it for the last year all the fixes failed, and more tsb's to try. what is the true fix?? or is there one?? new tsb out for the 4t65e transmission harsh shifts slips sluggish take offs, tsb # 06-07-30-023c, now dealer will not answer any questions, will not give any repair attempt RO'S, and now after all the repair attempts they tell me that this problem is "NORMAL"??? this 07 lacrosse has a very low side impact crash test rating!!! go to www.youtube.com and look at the crash test results for the 05-09 lacrosse for side impact!!

this car is dangerous for this reason!!!

Called GM on the side impact issue and was told by BEN that he drives a safe car and to watch where I'm driving and i will be ok. I asked if he drives a 05-09 lacrosse?? and he said NO!!!!

If you are having the same issues with you 05-09 lacrosse or impala call buick ask for florence and let her know!! she says that is the only way gm will come up with a fix!!!
