I will never purchase another GM vehicle. This problem was discovered while they were replacing the axle seal. The axle seal is directly below the steering rack. I am now suspicious if the axle seal really needed to be replaced because it is directly below the steering rack leak. The cost of the axle seal fix was $236.75. Both of these problems were found in 2018, far past the warranty coverage. The car was driven 90% of the time by a 74 year woman, so abuse can be ruled out.
