OK. This time the dealership's service advisor was a complete asshat. i called immediately when 2 warning messages started to display on the main display screen, and in addition, the parking brake warning light was also on. I reported what both messages read and also reported the warning light. i also noted that the cruise control would not set. dealership did not write in my report what the verbiage was of the 2nd warning. only wrote "other warning messages". GRRR. immediately delivered vehicle to dealership as it had just been returned from there a few days prior. i had to call dealership next day at almost closing time to get report of what problem was. they stated that they couldn't duplicate the problem, nor could they get it to do what i reported. insert angry face here

dealership stated that they would have a mechanic drive it to his home that evening to see if he could get it to repeat. stated mech lived at least 60 miles from dealership. round trip this would have put over 120 miles on my car - which is near the end of the warranty mileage. i stated my disapproval of this method. dealership grumbled that i wouldn't allow them to properly troubleshoot. i called back and spoke to svc mgr, who advised that they could find a mech who lived closer.

next day i had to call again just before they closed to get an update. dealership still can't duplicate problem and ensured me no codes were stored, which i strongly disbelieve. dealership says we need to pick it up, so we did. we get in it to drive it home and lo and behold - warning messages. We did a U-ey in THEIR lot and took it right back to dippy service advisor. they then stated that there were TWO codes in the history and TWO codes in the current. insert furious face. dealership states they will order part and call us when part arrives. Stay tuned....
