On three occasions and within a mile of each other vehicle would completely stall out while driving at 40 mph with A/C on. Vehicle taken to dealer, and dealer informed consumer that they could not duplicate the problem. Please feel free to provide any further details.
When driving enigine will completely die, causing loss of all power. Vehicle has to sit for at least 30 minutes before it can bee restarted. Dealer has been contacted.
Vehicle would sometimes cut off or just stop when making a right turn. Dealer inspected vehicle, and said it operated according to specifactions. It happened 2 other times, May 8 & 10, 2000.
The engine suddenly shut down, causing the vehicle to lose all power causing vehicle not to start back up. Dealer has been contacted. Dealer said that engine has to be replaced. Cause of siezed engine could not be determined but repairs were made. Consumer informed that it could happen again. Consumer told to ignore 'change engine oil soon warning, then service engine light came on. Engine running rough and burnt oil could be smelled. Vehicle towed for repairs.
While driving in traffic vehicle just shut off. Brakes and engine failed, and everything just shut down. Dealership has been notified. Mechanic stated that they can't duplicate the problem.
Ongoing / intermittent problem with engine stalling while driving. Engine stalls while coming to a stop or idles while running. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that nothing could be found. Can NHTSA help in this matter.
While driving engine cuts off, and everything else in the vehicle cuts completely off. This happens sporadically. Has happened three times. Dealer can't duplicate the problem.
After driving a short distance, the car kills. The power steering, and power brakes go out making driving very difficult. The car will not start again for approximatly 20 minutes. The vehicle has been towed to two seperate dealership on three occasions. Of the 1400 mile currently on the vehicle, approximatly 600 were put on by the dealership attempting to duplicate the error.
