Letter from senator rubio on behalf of constituent re 2005 Buick Lesabre defects (attn: David huff). The consumer stated the ignition switch broke, and when he exited the vehicle the instrument panel stated the key was still in the ignition. Also, the air bag was protruding out of the dashboard. The consumer was informed the recalls did not apply to his vehicle.
There is a reflection of the vent and the instrument panel in the windshield. *** nar received 9-29-05*** when driving in the sun, the reflection was so strong it distorted the consumers vision. The problem seemed to be in the design of the top of the instrument panel which slants towards the window. (11/16/05)
