This car was just purchased by my father. I checked out his car a week after he purchased it and test drove it and it is a fantistic car but when I poped the hood to see the engine. I noticed on the left hand side of the engine coolant was dripping constantly from the coolant crossover housing, this is where the alternator is located on these cars. This car had the 3800 v6 and I though it was that lower intake gasket which gm had problems out of in the earlier cars but this is common for this engine with the leaking crossover housing the oil rings go bad in the houseing and cause a leak. this is a fat leak and it drips so much I could put a cup down there an fill it up.I'm suprise he has not lost heat yet but he is going to get it fixed asap. Ps this car has the same stuff my 2006 impala has just a 100 percent better shifting transmission and steering.
