My car was not responding as it normally was and I took it into my mechanic. He put it up on the lift and discovered that both lower control arms were very worn and needed to be replaced immediately. It took him several days to find the left control arm. Her went on line and could not find any dealer that had the item in stock and was told that it was no longer available. He was told that GM had stopped making the part. He found that part at a parts store for about $70 more than the one part he was able to get at a dealer. The sad part was the part he found at the parts store was notably of a stronger metal and better construction that the original GM part.

When bringing the car in for grinding brakes, my mechanic informed me that my rack and pinion was leaking and my rear struts were broken and leaking. (this was later confirmed with a Buick dealership). I was informed that my car would not be able to pass my yearly inspection without the rack and pinion repair. I was also informed that the repair would be quite costly. I was stunned since I have had nothing but complaints and repairs with this car which I am still paying for, the last past two and a half years respectively. I only have the car for four years. I feel the car is too young to have so many issues especially something as serious as a rack and pinion repair needed. This is a safety issue. I cannot drive the car like this except locally and I have to watch the power steering fluid which I have been doing. I also cannot drive it now since my inspection is expired. I do not have the money to pay for this right now and I have had exhaustive issues with this car. I approached Buick and they are not receptive. The car is no longer in warranty.

Been having a clunk/bump type sound in the steering when the car is sitting still or at low speed, had a local dealer look at it a year ago and they found nothing, in addition too we are finding drops of oil in our driveway. We have had several people look at it, with no luck at finding the leak. Recently the whole front end has been shaking, with several folks checking, including the local dealer who yesterday told me they no longer work on GM products. I looked online and found that the 2006 models had the same problems, so I talked to the a dealer and he said there is nothing they could do since there were no service bulletins or recalls for these problems for 2007. Then I found your site and found there were several other people who have had the same problem. I told Buick this and they said there was nothing they could do that is was only the 2006 models with this problem. I told them there was way to much of a coincident that all these people are having the same problem for it to only be the year before. We are smelling burning oil and driveway full of oil just waiting to get into the local lake, not to mention the recall said it could cause a fire. Check service bulletin # 273064 action # 10032192 report date Mar 01, 2012 recall # 06V105000 service bulletin # 06V105000 (our vehicle is a V8) from your site: NHTSA # 10022433 & 10032192 & 1020815 ODI # 101483409 & 10460626.

The contact owns a 2007 Buick Lucerne. When driving the vehicle the steering wheel has to be turned slightly to the left to get the vehicle to drive straight and stay in the lane. The dealer stated that the vehicle needed an alignment at 300 miles. At 600 miles the service manager acknowledged that the problem still exist and performed another alignment. An alignment was done four times and the problem still existed. The dealer also shimmed the engine cradle, but when the contact test drove the vehicle the failure continued to occur. The current mileage was 1,400, and the failure mileage was 300.
