I was driving down a sharp grade. Went to change lanes using my blinker. My dash lights flashed and my car shut off. Steering was stiff, brakes were soft, and no blinker lights were flashing. Thank god I was able to get to the side of the road..If I would have been in heavy traffic like LA traffic.. It would have been a 15 car pill-up..

Please GM fix this before someone gets killed! It would be cheaper for you to recall than to pay out millions in lawsuits from killing people with your car defects..

This should be a recall to replace the BCM, this issue can cause a accident while driving.

Vehicle would shut down when blinker is used and then I would have to reset the passkey system to get it to restart.

My 1998 Buick Regal LS engine turns off while driving. This has almost caused several accidents. I am waiting to get a ticket if I can't use my turn signals. I was told by Advanced Auto it may be a ignition switch. Which can be costly to fix, tearing out the steering column. Can any one help with this problem? I love the car, I can't afford to put a lot of money into it.

Just recently i got into my car and took off. then i hit my blinker and the damn car shut off. this happened about a year ago when i first got the car, but i replaced the battery then it worked fine up until now. so i recently replaced the alternator. of course it didnt help the situation. so i took the battery in. it was dead so i got a new one. but it still didnt fix my fricken problem. so now im sitting here clueless as to wat the damn problem is. this is a major pain in the ass. my guess is that it is some wiring short? but i dont know. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!
