This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
When we first bought the car the check engine light came on and car would not start. Dealer finally found the problem. It was a sensor. Dealer replaced sensor. In March 2003 check engine light started coming on again. It stays on all the time. Some of the others come on to. Service engine soon ect. It has been less than a year since we had it fixed the first time. I think maybe it could be a defect.
