I have owned this Buick Regal TourX for a little over two and a half years. This problem has occurred approximately 6 or 8 times over that period of time since new. Engine normally starts up in approximately one second after start button is pushed, but occasionally it takes 5 to 8 seconds of cranking to start. It doesn't matter is the engine is hot or cold, it happens randomly and usually so far apart that I have forgotten about it until it happens again. However, the last time it happened, it was 2 nights in a row.

The vehicle had been driven about 2 miles, then shut off for about 45 minutes. When I went to restart, it took 5 to 8 seconds of cranking time to start. The following night the same thing happened under the same conditions (same trip most evenings). I hasn't happened since.

I am taking it to the dealer service department today to document the problem. I spoke with the dealer service advisor last week about bringing it in and was told that if the problem did not present itself when brought in, it could not be fixed, only documented. We'll see what happens.
