Gas tank started leaking at tank inlet from fill hose. No accidents, didn't scrape or hit anything...just started leaking from a seam. I am concerned about the possibility of fire. EA07-006.pco
2002 Buick Rendezvous - the part that attaches to the gas tank or the filler tube broke off. While driving on a paved road going about 55 mph the filler tube broke off and all the gas slowly leaked out of the car in five minutes. The consumer was able to drive to a repair shop, and it is being repaired now. There were no recalls on the gas tank problem the repair shop could not give any reason for this to happen. I work at a Buick dealership and I also drive a Buick Rendezvous. We are seeing multiple gas tank leaks at full tank fill ups. The filler neck joint is leaking and the tank needs to be replaced. I have actually been asked to glue over the hole because tanks are on back order, so the customer can have their car to drive.
