2002 Buick Rendezvous fuel gauge has never worked consistently after 2007 on some occasion we may get something in between but mostly just full or empty. Electrical system has been replaced twice since purchase of car, head gasket replaced twice. As of yet our gas gauge issue has yet to be resolved as the auto mechanics tend to just throw parts at it until we no longer have money to spend. In doing research I have seen several other owners have this issue and do have the feint smell of gas as noted in a safety recall that our car is not a part of but meets the model year.

She also mentioned that the fuel gauge was malfunctioning. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 145, 000.
2002 Buick Rendezvous, - sold by GM S "GM certified".. only must have been a joke. From the onset, solenoid difficulties created dangerous situation on highway, called them and spoke rather bluntly... that was after many, many calls. Wipers didn't work in the rain... would stick.. very dangerous while driving. Intake manifold gasket - cost one thousand dollars.. fuel gauge does not work. Car does not run.. get stuck for the past two months, at least three times per week. Paid four hundred dollars to replace "things".. still gets stuck.. now car won't start. Sometimes, windows don't work, car won't lock or unlock, car won't start. At this point, car is dead. BCM? who knows. Disaster car. It's a gift from god that we're not dead.
Gas gauge works erratically...with driver's menu stating gas gallons used at 13 gallon. The gauge shows full, then flops back and forth from 1/2 full to full. When the vehicle fuel reaches less than 1/2 full then the gauge goes nuts. How much gas does this vehicle have once this occurs" what is the corrective action"
