problem #2

May 012017

Rendezvous CX 4.1L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

This issue is very hard to deal with as the car brakes on its own when reversing or in certain turns. The lights come on for ABS, TRAC OFF, and SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM while driving and with no braking. The trac off also comes on when doing a complete turn while reversing. This problem has been stated to be fixed by replacing the sensors in the hub, but of course since I haven't done that so I cannot say that will fix the issue. This issue is annoying not dangerous.

Rendezvous CXL

As other's have also complained with no positive outcome with having replacement/repairs done. The panel lights frequently come on regarding "trac" on/off...frequent brake grinding which is felt through the brake pedal when brake pressure applied. Scared that one day when I apply the brake pedal the car will not stop as needed. Wife becomes anxious every time she drives.

Have had some of the same repair/replacement as everybody else done with no true "fix"...out money...and nobody (Buick) wants to come up with a solution, and all mechanics can do is keep replacing with hope that something done will help cure the problem. (poor mechanics)...and Poor Us!

Obviously Buick doesn't care or they would do a recall on something this annoying and dangerous. Guess not enough people have sustained death or serious injury in order for them to take responsibility of an error in design or defective parts. Buick has always been a favorite...but perhaps a divorce is coming. I wouldn't even feel comfortable selling the car to another person as I don't want them dead or injured either. Totally frustrating!
