The contact owns a 2006 graco child restraint seat (na) manufactured on 05/06/2006 with model number 7B00bda inside of her 2004 Buick Rendezvous. The handle of the infant carrier became loose while transporting the child to the vehicle. As a consequence, the handle broke, the infant fell onto the cement surface which caused injury to the infant's forehead. The ambulance transported the child to the hospital. The infant was secured by a "convertible" child restraint seat; however, the failure occurred outside of the vehicle. The VIN was not available. The contact was in the process of notifying the manufacturer.
