Piece of junk since June when I paid $3,000 for it and have put $1200 into it and still broke down and won-??t start (ignition switch/key) and I refuse to pay for it to be fixed nor fixing it myself.. Has to be called home sweet home very soon and I need it fixed by GM asap or lawyer will be involved and I-??m not sinking anymore into it then I have.. GM products are junk!!! Repair
This vehicle is a joke. I've had the ball joints worked on, gear shift (suddenly wouldn't change gears anymore), the transmission pump needs replacing, and when I drive, specifically if I turn or have to go over a speed hump, or over a small dip, there's a loud pop and lots of creaking even though the tire rod, ball joints and wheel bearings were replaced. After they were replaced, everything was quiet. About a year later, I'm hearing noises again. I've just grown accustomed to the fact that my car is loud. I know not to buy another Buick.
I was traveling down the interstate doing the speed limit of 70mph. Out of nowhere, the car flashed "reduced engine power" light and would not accelerate. Then the "service engine soon" light came on and a red battery light also. The car lost all power and power steering. I had to force the car into the emergency lane on the interstate without wrecking. I turned the ignition off and let the car sit for a couple of minutes and it started back up. I made it about 10 miles down the road and it did it again. Car will not run more than 10-15 mins without shutting off. Will not drive this car!!! very dangerous for everybody!
I own a 2006 Buick Rendezvous SUV. This SUV has 59,000 miles. In November a sensor light came on that states "reduce engine speed" while driving and you lose all power. This includes steering, brakes, speed and the engine stalls. However the radio stays on. I was traveling on a hwy with a speed limit of 45 mph.I lose control of steering, brakes and speed control. The SUV stalled and I had to change three lanes to get out of traffic. I was concerned about getting hit or hitting another car. This has happened frequently. Two separate mechanics had recommend replacing the throttle body but one said there was no guarantee this would solve my problem. We replaced this part in December at a cost of $400 and now I still lose power and am afraid of being hit or causing an accident. As this week this problem has occurred every day I drove it. Buick insists there are no recalls regarding this issue for my 2006 however there is a bulletin for GMC but different models/years. This is dangerous and I am afraid to drive this vehicle. I cannot sell or trade this in with this type of defect. I feel GM should fix this dangerous defect. Please investigate.
The contact owns a 2006 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated the vehicle made a loud noise while turning the steering wheel. The dealer advised the contact that the steering column needed to be lubricated and the vehicle had to remain off overnight. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65 and the current mileage was 73,000. The VIN was unavailable.

I have a 2006 Buick Rendezvous that I guess pressure builds up in power steering pump and somehow blows powersteering fluid all over belts, alternator and engine and compartment under hood this makes belts squeal and some come all out from under hood. This has happened to me twice since I bought the Buick in late November 2009. I have read that other people on car forum said that they are also having same problems with there Rendezvous. I have the 3.5 engine in mine and wanted to complain and see if any other complaints have been recalled on this. I see that Pontiac has problems with the power steering pump also and they have had a recall on them recently. So just wanted to pass on the information and problems that I am having I don't know what to do with this problem. I have to keep adding the fluid because it keeps blowing it all over my motor and compartment area. I hope that this does not cause my vehicle to have an accident or catch fire.
2006 Buick Rendezvous: Operator stopped the car in parking lot, turned off the ignition and removed the keys. Car was in drive "D" and keys were removed. Later, car rolled backward and hit another car in parking lot (luckily no one was injured). Dealer indicates that the keys cannot be removed when car is in drive. The Rendezvous safety feature in the steering wheel / ignition is not working.
