really awful
brakes problem
This has been an ongoing random problem. When it happens you have to throw the car into PARK to avoid a collision. After searching the internet I have found that this is a very common problem. Unfortunately it has many different supposed fixes, all that carry a roughly $1000 price tag. It seems to me that this should be dealt with through a recall, GM needs to take responsibility for a known issue and fix it!

I bought this 06 CTS in 09- Has had a brake issue from the beginning, 1st time I called dealer he says just turn car off and restart, it will reset itself. When driving at low speed or turning into parking spot lose brakes, I have learned let off pedal and reapply- brakes will come back. All lights ABS- come on.
Cadillac dealers all say no problems reported. Well I can find many online. They want $150 just to look at it again, then come back and say no problem with brakes, Just had new tires put on, said brakes were fine. This is frustrating, if so many others have had the same issue why isn't GM fixing this problem. I won't let anyone else drive car, afraid they would freak out if it occurred to them. SIC of the lies at GM.
