2009 DTS shut down while driving in the middle of a busy road. I had my wife and grandson in the vehicle. Luckily no one hit me. I had to get out of vehicle and with the help of another person on road we pushed the car into an Autozone parking lot. I smelled electrical burning. Looked up possible problems and saw that many users were having same issue due to faulty relay. We received letter from Cadillac in mail which pertained to same situation.
Cadillac said it was a recall due to faulty rear fuse box housing. I had to pay for the fix because letter was received and time frame was past. This is a MAJOR LIFE SAFETY issue. Prior to them fixing the first time car had same problem on a number of other occasions. Only way to get it to shop or dealership was to buy multiple fuses and replace as they burnt out.
Six months later I am again experiencing the same issue. I have brought to dealership again to have fixed. I haven't heard from them yet. I also had my heater core go in May and have asked them to take a look at that. I'm amazed that there hasn't been a MAJOR LAWSUIT against Cadillac regarding this matter. MAJOR MAJOR Life Safety issues...
