I owned 2002 Cadillac Escalade, I bought brand new, we do not know how many times we sent this car back to dealer to fix something, I change tires every one & half year, right now we have big problem, when I drive on freeway entrance with turns, the stability light comes on, meaning time the car suddenly slows down, looks like you step on brake. I brought to dealer to check it, they still have the car, can not find what could cause that. They took it for a test drive, they know this is dangerous when you are on the road.

On 08/27/2007 my stability control system light was on in the dash board of my veicle, approached traffic light tried to stop and the brakes would not work, then the vehicle accelarated on its own. For the grace of god I was able to avoid an accident due to the traffic being light. I had my 2002 Cadillac Escalade towed to the nearest Cadillac service shop(ken dixon, waldorf md) in the area at the time. Dealer advised an issue with the ABS and the stability control uni adv cost of repair $2600 or more, advised by dealer no recall on either of these issues. To date nothing has been done, the dealer still has the vehicle and has yet to return any of my calls in reference to my claim. Items of issue service brakes, hydraulic: Antilock- control unit/module-components-sensors vehicle speed control -linkage suspension which involves the stability control (asc)

: the contact stated the service stability system light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealership and the sensor was replaced the first time. The problem returned, but the dealership could not repair unless the light was illuminated while at the dealership. Also, the front passenger seat belt locked up without braking. The seatbelt has been replaced 3-4 times, but the problem persist. The dealership suggested a seatbelt extension be installed, but the problem occurred no matter the size of the passenger.

The stabilizer track came on while driving on dry pavement. The vehicle has been to two different dealers on two separate occasions. The first dealer could not locate a problem and the second dealer replaced the sensors and the problem continued.

Inquiry about the stabilitrak system installed in the 2002 Cadillac Escalade SUV. As the right wheels touched a short patch of slush, there was a quick clockwise pivot that felt perpendicular to the highway facing to the right. Possibly the stabilitrak system had reacted in a way that would spin the vehicle.
